Had the genuine honour of shooting a truly one off wedding of an inspirational couple. Julie and Russell’s wedding at Hereford Registry Office has been one of the highlights of my career thus far. Their faith in me to deliver a none intrusive documentary style approach was a photographers dream. There was just the request for a few simple portraits with the major family members with the bride and groom, other than that I was free to capture the day as it happened. Coupled with the fact Julie an Russell are two the of the most genuine people I have had the pleasure of working with, no ego and completely down to earth making the whole day a pure joy.
Hereford Registry Office was a completely new venue for me which is always an amazing challenge as a photographer, to visualise the light and how best to show off the happy couple. The venue and couple were a perfect combination and preferred over the "wedding factory" that some venues generate. It made the day flow effortlessly with all the guests over the moon for Julie and Russell. A glorious day with weather that any couple could have dreamt for on their special day, including one of the greatest Best Man speeches I have heard, live bands worthily of any festival and some of the best facial hair I have ever seen! A day full of love, laughter and one I was truly grateful to be part of!
